Activision quite often uses the term "exploit" in regards to the intellectual properties it uses for financial gain. I recall a lawsuit against Viacom because Paramount (a child company of Viacom) wasn't perpetuating the Star Trek series, thus preventing Activision from "exploiting" the property as was stated in their contract.
I thought it was an interesting lawsuit only because I used to be a video game tester (for two and a half weeks) for Activision and my brother used to do intellectual property work for Paramount.
